2018 Vlogs

August 25, 2018:

Once again, a year that started out optimistically, with new music, turned into a defensive struggle. Signs of more abuse of my music in June culminated in reports of a failed comeback by a widely known impostor. Although the repeat offender was soundly dispatched, the attacks on my YouTube and Blogger pages rose to an all-time high in July.

This playlist of legal video logs, with intermittent clips of my songs and library visits, closely resembles a much earlier series about assaults on my web pages. By 2018, having recovered an immense number of my songs, poems, scripts, and cartoons, from prior years, through sheer nature and unchanged living conditions, I found myself again facing a backlash for inadvertently sharing them on the internet. All the same, I tried to close the year on a musical note, in spite of persistent criminal interference, with a strong need to animate some of my earlier 'static' music videos with singing and playing.

2017 Vlogs

Having barely had time to catch my breath from rewriting Nickleback's Nonchalant, I found myself alone against a crowd of Blue Rodeo fans when I protested the band's visit in January 2017. I could not yet recall the music they stole, but I recognized my words in It Makes Me Wonder, and immediately copied it back to my account. By an astonishing and timely coincidence, the very next song I rewrote from scratch and recorded in my GarageBand program was Mischief.

Exhausted from music violations, I withdrew into a more personal activity, cartoon invention, wishing to embellish my We're All Dying blog with colourful new images. Unfortunately, legal concerns arising from my ever increasing reconstruction of vast volumes of my previously shared content, especially mmusic and comedy, began to overshadow everything else. In search of peace, I retreated offline for the rest of the year.

2016 Vlogs

Early 2016 was largely spent organizing my online content at home with HTML. It was a task that kept me busy for months. From there I turned to verse construction in my Storyblog, which consumed most of my summer. I recognized the finished epic as a previous effort and recalled helplessly seeing it torn to bits on TV when I first shared it.

Rewriting 2007's Nonchalant, though disturbing, seemed to help my case against the band that stole it. My father passed away in August, and I felt more alone than ever. Perhaps in my grief I found inspiration for comedy, but most of these vlogs are the same as what I had in my 2006-2007 YouTube account.

2016 Recordings

2016 turned out to be a silent year of tome construction, or, perhaps, reconstruction. While I generated a phenomenal output of rhyming verses in my Storyblog, I made only three recordings. Still, one of them turned out to be an earlier work that had since got on the radio with someone else singing it. You probably know who.
